About B4G

Blue4Green makes satellite data usable for cities. We support municipalities and planners in managing green spaces and water bodies in a climate-resilient, efficient, and sustainable way. To achieve this, we combine Earth observation data, geoinformation, and environmental indicators to create easy-to-understand maps and practical decision-making tools.

This reveals where heat islands are forming, vegetation is suffering from drought stress, irrigation is needed, or more shade is required. Our solutions support, among other things, urban heat analyses, irrigation management, tree canopy monitoring, vegetation stress analyses, resilience planning, and the potential of green roofs.

Blue4Green originated from a study co-funded by the ESA and was further developed in a practical manner in collaboration with pilot cities from Europe and the Middle East. Our goal: to make data understandable, directly usable, and effective for municipal practice – for greener, more resilient, and more livable cities.
