We monitor urban green spaces and tree canopy cover over time and document changes and losses in urban greenery. This provides municipalities with a reliable basis for planning, reporting and measures related to the EU Nature Restoration Regulation.
Urban Green Tracker
This service provides high-resolution and timely insights into the condition and development of selected green spaces. It comprises three key products: plant vitality, growth dynamics, and the number of green days per year, supplemented by monthly maps of leaf chlorophyll and leaf area index (LAI).
Users can see how vegetation has changed compared to long-term trends since 2020, how quickly plants grow, and how long growing seasons last. Thanks to image data available almost daily, the service enables near-continuous monitoring with high temporal resolution. All results are available for download as GeoTIFF and PNG files after processing.
